June 2021 was a busy month for World of Tanks.
Not only did we see one of the biggest updates in recent times (1.13), the usual weekend specials like XP Fever and Brawl Club, but plenty of new content made its way onto the Supertest and live servers!
Battle Pass Season 5
Battle Pass Season 5 began straight after Season 4 ended, with no breather period. The price and structure is the same, but this season we can earn one more bounty equipment item (four total), one of which is earned in the free progression path. The Bounty Low Noise Exhaust System has been added, which ought to prove fun when used on the right tank (ELC EVEN 90??) Once completed, we’ll be 66 Days of WoT Premium, 7,850,000 Credits, and 3,000 Bonds richer – there are plenty of other rewards, including 18 Battle Pass Tokens, but no new reward vehicles – the usual AE Phase I, Char Future 4, Object 777 Version II, K-91-PT and Kunze Panzer are available for 9, 9, 9, 12 and 18 Tokens respectively.
If you’re unsure what to spend your tokens on, you can keep them safe – they carry over to next season, but on December 19th 2021 the Items for Tokens store closes, converting any remaining tokens into bonds at the rate of 1 Token : 100 Bonds. Hopefully they’ll add a/some new reward vehicles for Season 6!

Minsk saw some dramatic changes to better balance the map. The centre field was flattened slightly, the river was drained, the 0 line was opened up and the 1 line shrunk, with a big change to the roadway in the middle of the 1/2 line.

In my opinion, the M44 will remain widely used for it’s mobility and even after these nerfs, it’s still going to be a very powerful artillery for it’s tier.
The silent huntress, Mochizuki was our Prime Gaming crew member, with Brothers in Arms as a 0 Perk and enough XP for 2 more skills. You can change her qualification, but with all crew, you cannot change the nationality once it is selected.
Top of the Tree
This month was our last month of triple Top of the Tree. We had the AMX 50 B French Heavy, E 50 Ausf. M German Medium and Strv 103B Swedish Tank Destroyer. It seems the AMX was popular, as matchmaking seemed to be plagued with red-liner’s, or at least it seemed that way to me!
Premium Shop Sales
It looks like the “Tier VIII of the week” has been left behind, with Wargaming offering the choice of three tanks each week this month! We saw the M54 Renegade, ISU-152K, Chrysler K, Object 703 Version II, Centurion Mk. 5/1 RAAC, T25 Pilot Number 1, E 25, CS-52 LIS, T77, AMX 13 57, Object 274a and M6A2E1 available in the usual Standard ~£30 / Ultimate ~£50 / Supreme ~£85 deals, although in true Wargaming fasion, the Tier VII E25 was only available for £42.75 and £68.45!
This month’s Sandbox went down a lot better than Crew 2.0. Wargaming reported 75% of players were positive about Field Modifications. I’m still unsure, and am worried this will further the gap between the average player and the 1% by buffing the reward vehicles the 1% have (279e, T95/FV4201 etc.) The Sandbox introduction video also confirms the return of the Mirny-13 gamemode!
Seven more premium / bond vehicles were rebalanced on the supertest, part of Wargaming’s pledge to refresh some power-crept vehicles.
Also, the Vz. 44-1 Czech Tier VII Heavy was added to the slowly growing collection of Czech Heavy Tanks!
Ranked Battles Season X
A test season of Ranked battles kicked off towards the end of the month, with major changes to the game mode, with a new bond turbocharger as a reward!
